Description

The POWER S33 Solar Pump Controller is a new innovative hardware technology platform for solar irrigation and uses a variable MPPT algorithm to maximize the efficiency of energy conversion to the rotating machine. AC output can be applied to most water pump models. DC and AC input are supported. When solar power is not available, the controller can be switched to a single-phase or three-phase AC input, such as a generator or grid power. The PDS33 solar pump controller provides a remote monitoring solution that can be used to monitor a variety of operating data and information on equipment operational faults.

The POWER S33 Solar Pump Controller is based on a standard POWER S33 Solar Pump Controller platform, controlling a standard three-phase induction motor driving a pump powered by a solar panel or an optional backup AC generator.
The POWER S33 Solar Pump Controller continuously monitors system performance and includes a number of features to protect the pump system. In the event of a fault, the POWER S33 Solar Pump Controller will indicate the type of fault via the LED display mounted on the front cover of the controller.
The POWER S33 Solar Pump Controller is optimized for pumping under adverse power input conditions unique to solar panels:

  • Internal diagnostics will tolerate a lower input voltage.
  • Whenever possible, the controller attempts to trigger the pump load by maximizing the power output from the solar panel. An easy-to-use interface is provided to improve configurability and allow remote monitoring of the system.
  • An LED display provides a detailed indication of system status.
  • A small keyboard offers the flexibility to select custom options.
  • Electronic monitoring gives the controller the ability to monitor the system and automatically shut down in the event of:
    • Dry well conditions – with low level switch
    • Bound pump – torque with automatic reversal.
    • High voltage
    • Low input voltage
    • Open motor circuit
    • Short circuit
    • Overheating
