Canadian Solar’s Ku Series half-cut modules operate as two separate panels, thus each half of the module produces half the output voltage. This leads to much lower losses and at the same time to a lower operating temperature, which further increases their efficiency. Additionally, if one half of a module falls into shadow, the other continues to produce electricity, unlike conventional panels. In addition, each cell of the Hiku7 CS7L-MS-R-595W is also split into two halves, achieving only 1/4 of the standard performance loss compared to other panels.
This design allows the panels to be installed on land, leaving only 7.5 meters of space instead of 9 meters from row to row, and this allows us to house even more rows on the same amount of land without producing less electricity.
